When I load into the game and press resume, the following error code comes up and says that I should relaunch the game. Doing so doesn't change anything, I've also repaired the game and removed my mods folder and the error still comes up. Any ideas?

Will reinstalling the whole game solve the problem?
No, reinstalling won't help as it's an issue with the save
Try loading another household and invite the Sim in the active careers over.
I've just started playing with the family so I don't even think they know anybody else unfortunately
Can you visit them with another family or does the lot not load at all ?
Otherwise you can use the mailbox and make some other Sim know everyone
also having this issue, but it's when I try to switch to a sim who is off the home lot at his police job

The game crashed whilst my sim was at work in the detective career. Now she’s stuck in the place she was on patrol
No mods or cc. No answers :(

Same here, but I do have mods, so at least i know it's not because of them :)
