I really hope we get a fix for these bugs soon! Right now, continuing the storyline I had going with my sims is an itch I can't scratch. Between these eye bugs and the weather happening indoors bug, etc. I am worrying more and more over time about this game, and how much can even be fixed at this point? 😰
There are multiple other life simulation games releasing soon this year, and if things don't change I think many of us will have to finally consider jumping ship to one of them, but it won't be the same, that's for sure. I miss playing the sims, truly, and want to keep playing it along with Paralives when it releases.
But I really don't think I've ever run into bugs quite like this before, in my ~20 years of gameplay with sims games, where there's absolutely nothing we can do on our side to fix it, it massively effects the look of sims, and we have had these bugs for nearly a year now with no end in sight.... Here's hoping things change soon for better with this game.
Agreed, I was having fun creating a story for my latest household back in December but then EA had to release a patch that broke numerous things, raining indoors, deformed child bodies (which were fixed at least), no service NPC's spawning and of course this eyelids issue. So I completely lost the will to play.
It has now been 3 months and most of those issues still haven't been fixed. Even if they fix those issues soon, trust has been broken. Who knows what they'll break next and then take 3+ months to fix?
With so many other life sims coming out soon, it's just not worth sinking more time and money into this game unless they really step up their QA.
I mentally prepared myself to stop playing The Sims, even though I haven't spent a week without playing it in over 20 years. It's so sad, this game has grown up with me and now it's unplayable. I don't even want to play anymore since the eyelid/eyes bugs and I'm afraid as soon as a new dlc comes out with a new update because I know there will be more terrible bugs added to the hundreds of bugs waiting to be fixed (and probably never will be). If nothing has changed by the next update, I'll switch to Inzoi, which looks much more stable and carefully developed.
I would say 8+ months to fix. Where is my beloved bug fixing team that was formed 8 months ago?
The new patch today did not fix the eyelid bugs…I want to cry.
