I have updated my game, the hot fix of March 18th, and my game still doesn't launch with cc installed. I still get the message "Failed to launch game" when cc is installed.
Ideas
I am still getting a no-launch error, where the sims 4 will not launch. Trying to 50/50 is not working because sometimes adding files in causes it to stop working, and other times it doesn't. This inconsistency means I don't know what is causing my game not to launch, and it is still not resolved for me.
Hey, I just figured out it was gameplay mods causing it to not launch after the hot fix. My game launched after I had only cc installed in my mods folder. So I recommend trying to launch the game with only CC inside your mods folder and seeing if it launches.

OMG You don't know how glad I am to find another person with this exact issue! I've been testing all of my mods/cc since the March 17 patch and still no answers as to what could be causing it. I thought it was something in my CAS folder but now I don't know because of all of the inconsistencies with launching. I honestly wish they didn't even add the marketplace or at least added an option to use older versions of the game, like many other game devs do.
Same, I filtered out the clearly broken cc and then slowly added the safe ones back in together (while still checking they were working) and my game still launched but as soon as I put it all together; nope! So frustrating
