I have updated my game, the hot fix of March 18th, and my game still doesn't launch with cc installed. I still get the message "Failed to launch game" when cc is installed.

Guys! I don't know if it's the root of the problem but so far, only Makeup CCs that caused the error in my game. Still halfway through the checking tho, will update later
maulmonsteristas Testing has shown that it's not the files themselves that are broken. It seems to be something that has attached itself to folders. Instead of testing mods, try this:
- rename the user folder (the one Mods is in); I usually also drag it to my desktop to keep things less confusable
- start the game and exit, to make a new user folder
- copy mod/CC files to the new folder, but not folders -- instead, manually make new folders in Mods
