I have updated my game, the hot fix of March 18th, and my game still doesn't launch with cc installed. I still get the message "Failed to launch game" when cc is installed.

This happened with no script mods for me. I updated the game last night and it won't launch, even tho they said that cc wouldn't be affected. The cc is broken and doing the 50/50 is inconsistent because the files will work one time but not another. I tried multiple times with like 5 to 10 files. It doesn't work. Whatever they did with the update messed everything up, it's not the mods, it is the game, and it feels incredibly disappointing.
swiftieethereal Yeah, nobody saw this one coming, and it hasn't affect a lot of us, either, which makes it weird and complex. I haven't been able to replicate it on my own computer, even with a lot of info from players who have it. (That was half my day yesterday!). Please do see the top post about providing user folders to help solve this.
After that, try this:
- rename your user folder (the one Mods is inside of). I usually also drag it to my desktop.
- start the game and exit to create a new user folder
- Copy CC files over but don't copy the folders. Instead, make new folders manually.
