The game gave me, again, the failed to launch error, so I gave your suggestion a try, running it directly from TS4_x64.exe . I ended up entering immediately to the game, no error whatsoever. So it confirms my suspicions: It's not any of my CC or mods, they work correctly in game. The issue must be something related to the EA App and the game when launching, if it were a faulty CC, the game would have loaded and the error would appear when the CC is loading before the main screen.
I also tested going offline in the EA App, and trying to launch the game. Every single time I had success. I don't mind running the game in offline mode, in fact, it runs faster on my machine, but that's not the point, I kinda like to see the gallery from time to time, you know.
Didn't work for me :(

You could also try what Edw suggested, try to go to the folder where your game's executable is (in my case, it was "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin" but yours can be different), localize TS4_x64.exe file and run directly from it, and see what happens. In my case, the game loaded successfully.
