Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

Aside from just trying over and over, there's no better solution.

Really zero? I definitely don't believe in conspiracy theories, but the longer EA pretends everything is perfect in its public image, the more I get the feeling they are doing a tough market test. EA is using the 50/50 method they so often force on us: 50% outcry versus 50% Marketplace users – and wow, they've got their future marketing strategy😱

same here, the game worked for the past 2 days with cc after the new update, but whatever patch they dropped today ruined it. i was playing last night perfectly fine and now i'm back to the error message. 

Well, it worked ok a few times before I went to sleep, but I've tried twice in the past few minutes without touching anything in my mods folder, and I'm back to "Failed to Launch Game," &c.  Back to square 1

I tried it didn’t work. I change the text file for the game version. The marketplace was still there. Is there something else I have to do to change it back to the original version before the update? I did not save my files before the update. Only way to go back shadycomebackz​ 

je suis dans le même cas. Depuis 3 jours; impossible de lancer les sims4 depuis la dernière MAJ avec l'installation de la marketplace. Je joue aux sims4 depuis le début et j'ai tout essayé : de réparer le jeu; de vider le cache; de réparer l'application EA; rien n'a fonctionné et cela devient vraiment agaçant. Par contre ; ce problème ne concerne que les sims4 ou les autres versions des sims aussi, comme les sims3?

Reverse the update EA!!!! You broke your own game implementing the marketplace that ZERO of your consumers asked for! 

Seriously my last straw with this game. The fact that they’re saying it’s “fixed” is astonishing. I’ve tried every fix and still nothing. Seriously EA how long is this going to take????
