Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

alright this isn't the best solution especially if you rely on staying online but playing offline is the only way my game launches consistently without the launch error.

Obviously here is a trick to access the gallery and play offline. but until this fix im offline

Hey guys, I just wanna share some really interesting solution I found from an amazing simmer on Simmatically Patreon regarding the fixing method. I haven't updated my game yet b/c I don't wanna ruin it forever, so I wanna ask if anyone who would like to try this way out. 😁

I hope it works for anybody who hasn't been able to play the game.

Dymebaby​ You can wait for an EA-side fix, or try this set of steps. I don't know yet if it works for everybody, and I don't know yet if it stays working, but it has seen at least some good results so far if followed exactly:

1. Rename the user folder - the one Mods is inside of. I do something like "THE SIMS 4 OLD FOLDER".
2. Start the game and exit to make a new user folder.
3. When copying mods/CC from the old Mods folder to the new Mods folder, don't copy/move folders. Make new Mods subfolders and copy only files.

Can you tell us if an EA fix is even in the works?

mmiikkii0303​ The current issue is being worked on by EA. Most mod users have game access, but it's only been a couple of days since the patch. Many modders have cleared their mods as compatible. Very little is known to be broken, and much of that is already updated. For other modders, they might just need more than two days to find time to do this. Many also don't do mod-clearances for patches that affect very little code. For what is known so far, see Broken and Updated Mods and CC. You can follow it to get notifications of new info.

A lot of people have done this. It still doesn’t work for some of us

Chicom12​ There's a chance that you're affected by the "Failed to Launch" issue: it seems that some people can get into the game some of the time but their CAS hasn't fully loaded properly. You could try this fix, or just wait for EA to fix the issue at their end:

Hello, so whenever I try to go into The Sims 4 (after the March 18 hotfix), it doesn't let me in and says "Failure to launch game: An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." (I'm sure I'm not the only person that this has happened to). It isn't my script mods because when I put them into my mods folder the game opens fine (I also got rid of all the UI mods as well.) This problem only really happens with my clothing/hair/makeup cc (all in separate folders). I re-downloaded the cc and even downloaded that mod assistant (not Best Exceptions but by EgorBlagov) that will show the conflicts in the different folders and it's STILL not letting me in. This really is my last hope and idk what to do after this. I have over 1000+ cc and I'm kind of desperate. 

But, i have another problem like EP 19,20,21 suddenly gone in the game, tho those three folders was still in there. Do you know how to fix this issue?
