Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

Like a lot of simmers, I am unable to use mods in the game if I want it to open but Mods and CC made my game SO much better. I did all the repairs, cashe, and even rain a check for my mods and cc, in which any that needed updating were and it shows none broken. So right now, my mod folder sits on my desktop. How long do we have to wait till we can play with Mods and cc again? 

I'm SO disappointed in the Sims team and their developers. These updates broke so much. No one wanted a marketplace. The game is 5 years + old- that is crazy work to be asking us now to pay for an older game. I already bought it-let me play how I want to play!

I had to restart my computer, and now the tricks I've used to get the game to start doesn't work anymore! Deleting cache and resource.cfg does nothing! I can't fricken play the game at all! 😭

Please fix the game!

Update: it finally loaded after deleting cache and attempting to launch for the 5th time. Absolutely ridiculous!

I'm having the same issue, I have tried to play with just CC and no mods and my game still wont launch. I hope this update happens soon!

does anyone know how long it will take for ea to fix this?

I tried the pinned reply suggestion from EA and will not work, my mods can load, but none of the CC

So I just copied my mods folder to my desktop and now its working fine again??.... idk 🤷‍♀️ 

My game was working fine with mods and cc installed until this morning. Now I am trying what others suggest. Will update if I find a solution. :/
