Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

I'm playing the same way.  I get the error, close it, and launch again.  I have been in the 5-10 times range for getting the game to laod.  I'm also loading back in a little CC at a time and, for safety reasons, playing in a new save as I'm afraid to touch my legacy save with all the other problems going on.  One other note, since I'm only loading a portion of my CC, I am taking the opportunity to delete a bunch of CC that I don't love any more.  So, in the end, hopefully the game will run faster.  Currently I am getting the game to load with about 113GB of my normal...I think it's about 150GB.

I just spent hours... HOURS doing this for 93 GB of CC.. IT DOES NOT WORK 

There is thousands of Simmers who can`t play right now!

Greed of EA is the cause for the crash.

It is absolutely ridiculous, that they drashed the whole game for those who use CC and Mods
i am Playing since the original Sims (1) and have never been so disapointed.

Find a solution and find it fast!

Friendly reminder that if you play with CC and are still getting the  Failed to Launch error, keep launching Sims. It eventually works. I play with 250GB of CC so it takes me about an hour to finally play, but it should take less time the less you play with.

i followed the steps and it did not work for me. it would launch until i had about 10,000 files in the folder and then give me the error. 

I get that thay are finally investigating this,but it's been 4 days can't they just roll back the update while they investigate? Or at least keep us a little more updated on the investigation,and on when they think they'll have a fix.

my pc idk if other pcs have it but open ur taskmanger then close sims 4 it just forces apps to close almost instantly

Hola tengo el mismo problema con mi juego, tuve que desinstalar EA y luego volver a instalar todo porque no me salía error técnico. Ojalá puedan solucionarlo lo más antes posible considerando que muchas personas invierten dinero y separan tiempo para jugar. Tiempo y dinero que a nadie le sobra. Muchas gracias
