Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

Experiencing the same issue. The only way I can play is by removing all mods and cc completely. I have not spent hours customizing this game that is supposed to be customizable to not be able to use my mods and cc. The patch made everything worse. I can't open it at all unless my mods folder is completely wiped. Come on EA, what could you have done to break this so badly?

Apparently the folder itself was the problem and my old saves and tray files are making the game "fail to launch" and I'm frustrated. I'm heavily reliant on the sims 4 for storytelling purposes and mental health management, and now I can't even use my favorite sims that I spent all my time and energy working on in my games. And considering I have depression and don't have that much energy to do anything to begin with, that's pretty significant.

I found out that resetting your game solves a lot of the issues with mods, the main problem for me is my old tray files and saves now that my mods are working again. I don't wanna remake my favorite sims from scratch and redownload all my old builds off the gallery again.

I did this and moved my mods folder to my desktop and the game opened fine and I was able to save it with no problem and I turned om script mods and Allow CC in the settings. Now what am I supposed to do with my mods folder?  And what's the new folder name it created since the game is working

I don’t know how people got inside the game after trying multiple times! I’ve literally never been able to load in and I’ve tried everything I possibly could and it’s just not working I’m so mad

the fact it's been 5+ days and yall havent rolled back this update is INSANE!!! if yall are struggling with this try removing your cc eyelashes or really any cas mods (sliders,backgrounds,etcs.,) - despite this series of posts saying that cc eyelashes have been "cleared in testing" (i have no idea what that means) it is genuinely frustrating the lack of communication on the Sims part. 

Havent been able to play my game in days 

I have over 600gb of cc, before this update it took me about 10 minutes to load. It should never take an hour for that to load at all, they need to fix whatever they broke in game. 

If you have a mod that changes the main menu, I recommend removing it; it’s usually a CC file labeled “main menu overrides.” But that will only fix the main menu—if the game is glitching, check your mods (it took me three hours to get the game to launch without error messages, and EA is just telling me to find the updated version of a CC file I released back in 2019. Gurll, I’m not even sure if the CC creator is still around.)

They keep lying and saying that everything was fixed with the March 18 update. They should have just released the Marketplace update as a console-only update—it’s a total disaster for PC/Mac players. They’re telling us to remove some mods and buy cc from the Marketplace—no way, I’ve already spent a fortune on your packages, and I’m not paying 5 pounds for a couple of pimples patch on the CC. They just need to remove the update for PC players. What greed...
