Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

After the latest update,  I started having issues. At first, it would only let me enter the game after several attempts, usually on the fourth try or later. However, once I got in, I was able to play normally. The EA app was updated as well, but the problem remained the same. I could still play despite having mods installed. But then things got worse, and this is the strange part: not only does the previous issue still happen, but when I finally manage to enter the game, a screen with monthly offers appears. When I close it using the “X”, the game freezes completely. Sometimes it freezes so badly that I have to force restart my PC. I keep working to repair it, but I've received no response or solution, and I’ve spent hours trying to fix something I didn’t break, all because of a Marketplace I have absolutely no interest in. After that, no one else will either. You broke all or almost all of my CC, something that has never happened before with any of your updates, and honestly, doesn’t happen in any other game either.  At this point, it’s pretty clear to me that this wasn’t accidental. This kind of thing discourages people from playing and reflects poorly on the company.

THANKS SO MUCH... for the Lofi collab that no one even asked for. How about that fix for your latest update?

It isn’t caused by your CC. This is completely an EA issue.

Hi, sorry, I'm from Uruguay, that's why the screenshot is in English. I have the same problem; I've tried different things. Yesterday the game froze while I was checking that my mods and custom content were up to date; I just clicked save and it "died." But today there's no way to get in.

As of now, the only thing that is working for me is going off-line and clicking on the EA app and running it as administrator and then it was as normal. There is only one folder I don't have in my game, which is my furniture folder, which is well over 2000 package files so I'm going to try to figure out which one it is tonight after I'm off work if the update is still not out.

The only thing that's worked for me so far is deleting the localthumbcache.package and the onlinethumbnailcache.package every time I get the "Failed to launch error game". After doing that the game loads normally. 

This is crazy that you guys think posting a collaboration with the Lofi girl is smart, right now?? Like instead of giving a temporary solution like a rollback on the update until you guys fix the game, no you guys think posting about a collaboration is going to placate us and makes forget we can't open the game. 

i did literally everything trying to fixed this, and its still leaving me with another fail. i dont have the energy for this.

1,000+ comments yet nothing. Going on a week of a game being broken with no end in sight. 

This. The announcement of a collaboration (that no one seemed to ask for) instead of addressing issues with their disaster of a recent update really speaks volumes to their supporters.
