What worked for me (my issue was cc eyelashes that worked on their own but not with everything else) was a folder refresh for the cc, and also removing the Default.ini from my ConfigOverrides folder/not putting it back in.
I can edit the Default.ini in my bin folder, but having an edited Default.ini in my ConfigOverride folder that doesn't match the one in my bin folder causes the game not to launch. Having a matching one is only useful for backing up the changes, I guess. This was a brand new Default.ini made today from a new copy of the original in bin.
I have no idea if that will help anyone else, because what helps and what doesn't seems very inconsistent.

The same thing is happening to me. I have mods/cc, but I updated everything and even tried to launch the game without mods/cc. I tried repairing and uninstalling the game as well.

I have been testing my cc in small batches of about 15 to 20 all day. The game crashes and fails to load most times, but after several clicks it finally launches. It provides me with the same error codes, despite what cc are in the folder. It’s hard to narrow it down to a specific cc item. When the same folder that was played tested and worked fine. Also is the same folder that crashes the game.

Nothing is working, and I am still having the same issue: my game will not open. All I have in my game right now is create a sim cc, no script mods. I removed the cc lashes and that did not work for me either. The 50/50 method does not work; regardless of what cc I take out, my game crashes before it even reaches the loading screen. I have been testing it all day, and it does not seem like a me issue.
Edit: here is my latest crash txt file again, just in case

That’s it since team. I’m this close to be done. You guys need to get your guys **bleep** together and fix this game because my game half of my cc says failed to launch the game and I had to take half of my CC fix your game or I’m quitting and I don’t know why you guys haven’t fixed the issue and I’m disclosed of quitting fix your game

Currently having to clean out cc that won't work. Some does, some doesn't. This is going to take a bit....😭
And what makes it worse is some CC actually works if you try it again.

I'm having the same problem. After the March 17 update, the game would start, but about 90% of the mods weren’t loading. Now, with the March 18 update, the game won’t start at all and shows this error. Without the mods folder, it works fine. With the mods folder, it doesn’t start.
I spent over 3 hours trying to figure out which mod is causing the conflict. I kept removing and adding mods to see which ones worked. The issue is that even after I manage to start the game with the “checked” mods, after a while the same error happens again.
I don’t know what’s going on. Sometimes the game opens with the mods, and sometimes it doesn’t. I noticed that the Resource.cfg file makes a difference. I created a new MODS folder in the game and put all the “checked” mods into this new folder—error. However, when I replaced the Resource file with the previous one (from when I tested the mods), the game started working again. - borin77710 days agoSeasoned Scout
This is driving me crazy!
So far, I’ve managed to load about 50% of my mods. But the folders with hair, clothes, and shoes are still causing the same error, and the game won’t start! I have thousands of items—clothes, hair, and shoes—from different creators, not to mention that they’re a fundamental part of my saved games.
I’m so frustrated… I feel like banging my head against the wall just thinking about how many hours it’s going to take to figure out which shoe, which outfit, and which hairstyle is causing the conflict (if the problem is even with this custom content).
Why do I have to waste my time and give up my custom content because of their sloppy work?
Two updates, and custom content is still causing conflicts—which wasn’t happening before. This clearly wasn’t tested properly. I should at least be able to roll back the update, since I have no intention of using that garbage marketplace. - hollyw2610 days agoSeasoned Adventurer
I finally updated this afternoon. I am getting this same error as shown in the post above. I removed my MOD folder, and the game loaded. I have been trying to put my CC back into a new MODS folder. However, this is not working well. I had a 132GB MODS folder this morning before I updated (29,072 files). After the update, I have put back in 23.6GB (3,534 files), but everything else I try to put back in gives me this error. I can't even get my clothes folder in. I'm putting in a few files at a time (very few) but I keep getting this error. What does it mean and how do I get my .package files back in the game. Please advise. BTW, I did run repair already. Game unplayable with my MODS at this point.
