Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

Even with basic updated CC it won't let me load into the game and gives me faile to load messege, even tried starting a new save game, and that still didn't work. Like come on!

I'm having the same issue!!! I can't even turn off mods/cc (even removed them) still - nope!!! And we probably won't be able to play for like a couple of weeks.... knowing that these issues won't be fixed soon. :(

I updated my game and everything after the hotfix,  took mods and cc out and everything. waited till the mods and cc i use was updated before putting it all back intomy mods folder but it still won't let me load into the game.  even with one piece of updated cc inside the folder. I even tried repairing constantly, and even making a new Sims 4 folder and deleting the resourse cfg. 50/50 method and nothing works, but it'll load if i put an empty file inside the mods folder.

Game will NOT launch with clothing CC. I took out all script mods and even some of my cas details such as lashes (what they said was causing launch errors) but it refuses to launch with any clothing CC present in the mods folder. I even tried to 50/50 with new clothing CC from just 2026 and it still won't launch with even just one single clothing .package file present.

The game will launch fine with no clothing CC folder, but not with clothing CC. This is such a disappointing and devastating experience.

I still get the same notification whenever I try to put ANY type of CC or mod into my game. I noticed that my game only decides to open when I remove ALL of the CC and mods. 🙃

I have the exact same issue too. I noticed that removing all CC makes the game launch faster. I hope they fix this asap :(

Been having the same issues. Tried literally everything, removing cc and then adding them back by doing 50/50 method. Tried repairing the app, deleting mods folder completely, deleting the whole EA app and nothing works. Please FIX. THE. GAME. This latest update is probably the worst thing you guys have ever released this far, it's beyond broken at this point.

I appreciate the first reply trying to come up with a solution to this, but here are the facts: everyone who is experiencing this error had CC in their game that loaded up yesterday, the day before that and so forth.

This isnt mods we are talking about, it's items made through S4S that people have accumulated over 12 years since this game has come out. I'm not being entitled when I say I do not believe it is our responsibility to try and go through at least 5,000 files to find the few that are now suddenly corrupting our game out of nowhere. What if some of these items were downloaded from curseforge, a platform EA encouraged us to use. Their job IS NOT done yet and they need to resolve this yesterday.
