Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

This! I have spent hours going through 150Gb of mods/CC piece by piece. It's completely random. I give up. Life is too short for this! Thousands of my hard earned $$$ wasted and hours wasted... I'm off to requaint myself with the outside world! 😄

I can confirm that Kijiko eyelashes are causing the loading error

after the most recent update, my game has been finicky and would sometimes open, and sometimes not. i removed my entire mods folder to see if that would fix it, and it did.

my problem is that i have done the 50/50 method about 5 times in the same folder. i will take out the files, put them all back in file by file until i am given the error prompt. once i do this and find the CC causing the game to not launch, i will delete the cc that is causing the issue, and my game will load in. i will be able to fully load into the main menu.  however, after closing the game, i will be met with the error prompt again, (even though i closed out of the game and am not attempting to relaunch it). -

- when attempting to relaunch, i am given the error. this is incredibly frustrating, as all the mods and CC items i would put in the folder would work fine and i will recieve no error, and my game will launch...until i find the corrupted CC file and delete it, another one will be causing my game to not load, even when the game loaded with it before.

i am unsure what to do at this point and how to find the broken CC in my game, as these items will be in my mods folder, launch my game safely, then suddenly become corrupted. any help/advice is appreciated. thank you!

Try to force running the EA app as an administrator. At least this works for me.

1. Close all EA-related apps through task manager
2. Open C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop
3. Right click on EADesktop.exe then go to Properties
4. Under the Compatibility tab, select "Run this program as an administrator", then click apply
5. Run the app and try to launch the game

none of this is helping, i have spent HOURSSSSSS going through all my CC and deleting , i also deleted all my mods. i tried the 50/50 method, i deleted sims and redownloaded it, ive repaired it TWICE and NOTHING!!!!! i am honestly so sick of EA and their greed, as well as there lack of care for their users who have spent thousands of dollars on this game, as well as days building and creating. THIS IS NOT A MOD/CC ISSUE, IT'S A EA ISSUE!!!!!!

Almost 200 replies and no fix why is the sims team not on this? That fix they released did not fix this. Please do something TheSimsDirect​ 

I had the black screen issue, so I exited the game, updated script mods, and went back in. Turned on mods/cc in settings and exited the game. Fired it back up, and now my game won't even detect any of my cc. I really wish this Marketplace thing hadn't been implemented for so many reasons. I'm beyond frustrated.

I have just patched my game and updated all my mods that had an update so far and I have Kijiko's eyelashes on several customly created Sims and my game is loading just fine. Therefore I cannot confirm that Kijiko's eyelashes are the culprit for this loading error that some people are having. They must have another conflict.

What I have done after patching my game. - 1. Ran a repair (I always do after a patch update) - 2. Deleted the Resource.cfg  - 3. Cleared EA App cache and of course updated the mods I use in my game which aren't many, but I do use many CC. And only AFTER all that I started the game, re-enabled my mods, quit without saving and restarted the game. No loading issues on my end.

Same thing happening, I did 50/50 and figured out what was breaking my game so I took it out and added the other stuff back, now won't launch. SO frustrating..
