Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

hello i dont know how to fix this, i have tried everything but every time i go to load up the game it comes up with an EA error and it says An error on our end cause the launch to fail. Try again a little later, but i wouldnt let me in all day yesterday and it is still happening, can some one help me please 

i dont know if im the only one having this issue after the march 18, 2026 update but honestly this is getting annoying..

ive spent like roughly 3 hours taking out all of my UI mods, overrides, script mods (WW and MCC), and even my cas sliders and somehow its still showing the error.

at the moment, i only have ccs in my mods folder and i lowkey want to just delete everything in the folder and put it back in afterwards. but before i do that, i want to see if anyone has a solution to this problem.

i purposely didnt update yesterday cus of the cc not working but honestly this is worst than having the ccs gone. i cant even enter in the game bro 😭

ive also repaired, uninstalled/reinstalled, and restart my pc and it didnt work at all lol

The game was working fine for me when I got up today and installed the emergency hotfix patch (March 18th 2026) so I played a bit, took a break, and then tried to boot up the game and I got the “failed to launch” message saying something went wrong on their end. It shouldn’t be my mods bc I didn’t add any new ones during my break so I don’t know what’s happening! Uninstalling and reinstalling the game didn’t work. I tried closing the EA app through task manager, then clearing the app cache, then repairing the game, THEN trying to play the game and it didn’t work.  I just don’t understand how sometimes it’ll boot up and other times it won’t without me making changes to my mods. I am in desperate need for some help please!

The same thing is happening to me too! I don’t know what to do anymore

I am on PC.  Using EA app.  No cloud and everything is in my docuemnts folders.  I have no mods.  When I load cc into my game one item at a time (not folder) I can get through 2 -5 with no issues then I get the failure to launch error.  I remove the last one added, still error.  I remove everything, repair my game, delete all error logs etc.  It loads with nothing.  Start the process over again and I get maybe 1 item further then error again.  Rinse and repeat.  

I have just repaired and deleted etc but I did not remove the 4 clothing cc items.  I kept going with the failure to launch error and on the 4th time it loaded.  That leads me to believe it is not about the 4 cc items I had in my game. 

I have not even looked at the marketplace, never mind used it.  

For me the game is not launching with CC but script mods are totally fine. It has been totally random, as I took all my CC out and have been testing it in batches, sometimes the cc i put in will launch the game and then it just stops launching and gives an error message (the same CC that worked previously). I have no way of knowing which CC is causing this as it's happening to CC randomly. 

Same, I don’t even get the error message on the ea app, it just crashes and I get the crash text. I’ve combed through my whole CC folder as it loads with mods but not with CC. So far, all my build buy cc causes the crash but some of my clothing, genetics and hair cc works. It is quite confusing because sometimes I add a new file, then it works and when I try again all of a sudden it doesn’t work 

Depends what your issue is but if it's not the same as this one, it's better to have your own thread so someone can help you troubleshoot instead of your post buried in here although you might just have an entirely different issue.

Failed to launch isn't an exact error. There are many causes

I too have been having this issue.  I'm waiting for my favorite mods to get updated.
