Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

I'm so mad about this. My game worked yesterday. I'm filming a machinima for my very small channel that heavily relies on CC, some of which I worked hard on to be accurate, and now I can't work on it! I hope this is not permanent and they fix this or several players will be pissed. It's likely due to the addition of Marketplace that the mods folder isn't working right / is the cause of this (my game was able to launch without mods active right after the update, and when I checked to activate mods and CC, I got the same error as you). I really hope they figure it out cause lots of Mod and CC creators/users will not be happy. Like this is a collection I've been building up on for years.

EDIT: I managed to fix it last night by updating certain script mods especially UI cheats. But NOW, a day later, I'm getting the ERROR AGAIN when I have CC in the mods folder! Just CC and no script mods! When just yesterday it could launch WITH CC! I really thought it was fixed but now the issue is back!!

Same. Why did I pay for a game I can't even play?? I hate that every time EA does a pointless update, it puts the entire game out of commission.

I removed a bunch of mods and it launched. Then I added one or two back and I got the same error message. When I removed those same mods, I got the error again. So I have no idea what the issue is. I've tried all the troubleshooting they suggested as well.

Okay but is EA going to address this? Lots of people are putting in one file, it doesn’t work, then starting the game again with the same file and it works. This is an EA issue. The hotfix barely fixed anything. I’m not sure if they changed how the game recognizes cc or something?  People on Reddit are talking about it and on X, even on YouTube. It’s affecting a major amount of players who updated. I hope another fix can be put out that completely resolves this.

It feels like the hotfix didn’t fully fix the package reading issue, just patched over it. This is definitely something to do with memory, indexing and load order bug

rynlove​  The driver is compatible with your hardware, but sometimes a computer manufacturer's proprietary software blocks installation.  That's less common on desktops than laptops.  You can get around it easily enough though:

If you'd prefer, you can try the other suggestions first.  Since the old driver worked okay before you ran into this issue, it's probably still fine now, just not ideal.

I have resolved my issue.. I had Life Tragedies by SAC installed, I believe that no longer works, sorted 50/50 of my mods, tested and tested all morning but I finally found it. I am 100% confident this was why my failure to launch game message came to be. So guys try using that 50/50 technique, you will find the cause just be a little patient. Off to play, till the next update drama :)

Updating with recent findings.  My mods work fine.  It will load every single time with just mods in (I just have mccc, WW, Ui cheats and Better build buy as far as mods, they've all been updated. )

I have all my build buy cc installed.  Loads fine every time.  

I have 4 single clothing items and 1 hair item in my game.  I get the error 3 to 4 times.  Without changing anything it will load on the 4th or 5th time with no error.  It appears it is literally what the error says "try again later".  I have also swapped out those 4 clothings items for 4 others and same thing.  It is NOT the CC, it is something happening with the loading of it when the game starts.
