Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

Same issue here, after their 18 march attempt to fix the mods not loading issue.

I firstly had the UI bugged same as the screenshots in the other posts here show it, thought it was mods so I did the 50/50 method to see which one but when I tried to launch the game it didn't work. I uninstalled and installed again, repaired.. nothing works.

Now I try to launch the game through EA app and steam app opens. Then EA app closes and reopens saying "error on our end caused the launch to fail". If I try to open the game directly from Steam, it gets stuck on "Launching" and then returns to the "Play" button. 

I don't use any mods, only CC. When I open the game after the hotifx, it launches (I don't get the pop up error) and it loads for a couple of seconds, but then it goes to black screen with the music playing, and I have to force the game to close via the task manager.

When I take out the CC out of the Mods folder, it works.

I tried EVERY possible fix and nothing works. The only thing I haven't tired is testing CC one by one, I have around 800 package items, so I won't be testing each one separately.

I’m having the same issue, it does launch without my mods folder, but even with just cc installed it won’t launch—but it did yesterday just with the obvious glitching. I’m so frustrated with EA right now. 

I play on MAC, it doesn't launch at all despite having removed mods and keeping only CC, repairing the game, clearing the cache files, restarting, etc.  I tried the 50/50 method but sometimes it works with a folder and then the next time...it doesn't ! Here's the crash file. if you could look into it please.

I'm not sure why the file doesn't appear here. how great.

I am not getting a failed launch error or a black screen. My game crashes before the loading screen opens. I tried using the 50/50 method, but it hasn't worked: regardless of which cc I remove, it still won't open. Sometimes I will remove certain cc files, the game will open, then I will exit out. Just to double-check, I will open the game with those SAME cc files, and the game will crash. I attached the last crash txt to see if it can be reviewed.

This is frustrating and very annoying. I'm fed up with these updates; I've been as patient and positive as possible. I've tried everything, but they've only ruined the game for many. 

That did not work for me. I Actually removed about 80% of CC content but have MCCC and UI extension in the mod folder and I could open the game.... but that means I am literally missing 80% of hair and clothes so my sims are still bold and without clothes.. 

So extremely frustrating, I'm having a similar issue. I've deleted my resource.cfg, I've repaired my game, restarted the EA APP, logged in and out, done the 50/50 method - My game loads fine with all mods/custom content... unless it's CC clothes or hair??? Like if I take out my hair or clothes folder, the game loads no problem, but if I load either one or both back in, I get the same "failed to load" error message. Like what is going on? 

I even 50/50 my hair and clothes custom content, it's not a specific item, it's any HAIR or CLOTHES. I have to assume it has something to do with the hot fix today?? Please HELP!
