I am experiencing this issue as well. Wife autonomously decided to fight her husband. They had maxed out friendship and romantic bars. The husband was holding their infant son at the time the fight animation kicked in. So they had an all out brawl while he calmly held the infant. He won. It was pretty hilarious, but now their friendship bar is max negative.
