[FR] Objects randomly catch on fire after solved cursed book event

After getting the For Rent pack recently, things in my Sim's home start combusting randomly a bit after destroying the cursed book? I can't go 10 minutes without several fires? Some are like electrical but last night her entire unit burned down because the baby's changing table combusted twice within 5 minutes?? I tried a cheat code to stop fires but it didn't work and its like. unplayable. She can't even interact with her baby when theres a fire on the lot so it was just on the floor surrounded by flames. I had to close the game because it's so annoying. I know i can play my other saves but I spent so much time on starting this for rent legacy- it's a huge bummer because I got the pack for Christmas and I can't even play it.

Is there any way to report bugs in a way where they'll get fixed?? or do I just have to yell into the void of a forum. the sims is like my favorite game and im so sad.

I have this problem. I solved the cursed book event and it’s escalating. I’ve had to put sprinkler systems on every floor. Luckily my Sim has a smog vacuum but we are still losing items. I can’t leave my photos on the wall anymore in case they are lost. I may have to abandon this household and set them to die in accidents in neighbourhood stories. My game has mods but it is obviously not the problem as others have said. It seems FR itself is just a cursed pack

Adding my complaint! One of my sims was a property owner and the cursed book showed up. I accidentally had him destroy it. Ive sold the property, moved him to different maps and different lots and not matter what, random objects just keep catching on fire. I had him drink two "curse breaker" drinks and each time it said not cursed. His garden has caught fire, tables, bathtubs, walls etc. Ive tried repairing my game, debugging him but nothing is working. Even when I use the "no fires" cheat to try to deactivate fires, things still catch on fire. His dog had even caught on fire which is scary. Ive never had anying mods. Please look into this bug and fix it!!!!!!!!!! We are spending REAL money in this game, so we should get REAL fixes.

The fact that this particular bug can ruin someones save file with uncontrolable fires no matter where they move there Sims to after having the Cursed Book event happen. This issue should be a priority.
