Frozen game/menu after ad

I've had an issue with the full-screen pop-ups when I load into the game. The pop-up loads and goes away. However, after I x-out of the pop-up, the home screen gets a blueish hue, and I cannot click on anything. I cannot even close the game. If I "end task" in my computer's Task Manager and reload the game, the issue does not repeat. This only happens on the home screen, and I do not have this issue with the banner pop-ups (like the buy this pack ads, or when I install a new pack). 

I have twistedmexi's Better Build Buy and Tool mods installed, as well as 3 cc tattoos by moonmoonsim. All mods and cc are up to date.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bug, but it is a nuisance to have to force quit the game and reload it.
