Frozen game/menu after ad

When opening the The Sims 4, the pop ups about the "event" or the new "packs" pop up and take over the entire screen. When this happens, I close the pop up so I can load into my game, but the game is greyed out and there is nowhere to click.

This happens repeatedly and has continued to happen since you started using the full page pop ups. They break the home page. I've had to force quite via Task Manager four times, repair the game via the EA Launcher and still the error occurs. (Finally after 7 attempts and 1 repair, I was able to load into the game!)

I can confirm this happens to others, as friends have also mentioned it happening with the pop ups, since they were introduced a year ago. I feel if you want to keep these pop ups, make them smaller like the little ones for the new installed DLC, so that the screen doesn't break, as the full screen appears to be the whole problem, as I have no issues bypassing the pop up for a DLC and then loading into game normally. 

Side note, on the full screen pop ups the "play now" button or whatever the similar is, never works so I always have to use the X in the top right.
