Hello! i Have the same problem for long time now. Usually ad shows for one time and after relaunching the game everything works fine (but still annoys all the time).
But yesterday after lunching the game, I have a splash screen "week 4 of an event" that was impossible to close and start playing. When I click on "play now" nothing happens. When I click on the cross to close this window, it closes, but the screen blocks as if some sort of modality still on and interface is not responding. So i basically can not start the game. Tried to repair the game, tied to relaunch few times — the problem didn't go anywhere
I play on macOS, btw
