Frozen game/menu after ad

Basically this has been happening after the pop up that tells me about what mods are in the game. I press ok or x and it just freezes like this. I have to go in my task manager to force close the game and reopen the game.  This has been happening after some update after the business and hobbies pack release. (don't remember which one).  Idk how to even test for this issue, since this happens randomly at game launch. 

I play on PC, Windows 10.
