Hey ya'll.
I'm playing on a Mac with all the packs/kits/etc. only using TMex's mods for building and am still having this issue (greyed out main screen after closing pop-up ad) even when I take out my mods folder and let Sims generate a new one.
The only workaround I've found is closing Sims 4 but keeping the EA app open, going back to the EA app once the Sims 4 app is fully closed, and clicking 'Play' again. Closing the EA app + the Sims 4 app causes the issue to happen again.
Add in my mods and I'm looking at a 10 minute wait time just to have to restart the Sims 4 app again smh lol. Having spent well over $700 on this game (so ashamed but the panorama got me hehe), it's truly insane to have these kinds of issues [still happening months later].
**Edit:
Clicking the ad and letting it open a new browser or go to the EA app is annoying but also works for now.
