Frozen game/menu after ad

When launching the game, if there is a pop-up for any reason (i.e. "fall sale" or "rewards event"), after clicking "X" to close the pop-up, nothing on the launch screen is clickable and there is a dark overlay on the launch screen. I have to quit the game and relaunch it; often multiple times if there are multiple pop-ups. There will only be one pop-up when I launch the game and then when I click "X" I get the un-clickable dark-ish launch screen. Then if I quit and re-launch the game I may get a new pop-up for a different announcement and I will click "X" again and will have to restart the game again until there are no more announcements to be popped-up at launch. The only way to quit the game is by quitting the app from the dock of my computer because I cannot even click exit on the launch screen. Once I click "quit" on the app from the dock, I will receive a pop-up window in the game asking if I want to quit the game at which point I say yes to be able to quit it. I use an M1 MacBook Air.
