Game Ads Crashing My Game

I've tried about four or five times now to simply open my game, but as soon as the game loads the full-page pop-up ads make it crash. I honestly don't know what to do about this, and I'm extremely frustrated that the ads are now affecting my ability to even play the game. I play on PS5 and have never had this issue with my game before. Doesn't it completely defeat the purpose of the ads if you can't even access the game they're trying to advertise for to begin with because of them? It's ridiculous.
