I wanted to update that I've been trying since last night to find a solution. If I'm honest, I'm a little frustrated that the response to my situation was to move me to a general thread where people are clearly able to access and even play their game for a period of time before a crash happens. How would you even be able to tell if this is the same issue? Since there was also effectively zero response on what troubleshooting or suggestions might be helpful for my situation, I tried my best to find what I could online about similar situations and tried my best to figure something out. I thought it might be helpful to share what I found in case it helps narrow things down. I found it odd that I was playing my game just fine a day or so ago, had zero issues (my game play session didn't end in a crash as happens fairly frequently if I only save, instead of use "save as", I've found that's the best workaround for me when it comes to crashes on my PS5 during save). The first thing I did was go offline to see if the crashing would still happen on load if no ads could load at all. I managed to at least make it to the front page before the game crashed again when I tried to open a new save. Next I tried refreshing my licenses, during that process I tried different times to enter my game when packs were effectively being shown "not owned" (I own all of the DLC outside of four of the most recent kits). The first time my game loaded into the front page and I was able to open a new save into CAS without crashing was when all of the expansions were grayed out as "not owned." In order too double-check that it wasn't one of my saves that was crashing the game, I tested opening the "load game" option and all my saves appeared fine, I didn't want to actually load into any of my fresh played saves because a lot of my DLC wasn't active and I didn't want to ruin anything, but I did test loading into an older save from a week or so ago and didn't have any issues loading in (though I didn't have the DLC active). As soon as I fixed the licenses of the expansions and the game was recognizing that I owned them all my game was once again back to crashing immediately as soon as the home page would load in. By this point it was almost midnight so I gave up. After sleeping on it, I'm wondering if it might have something to do with my downloading the recent expansion bundle. I bought the expansion bundle months ago, but didn't actually download it into my game until very recently (it might have even been right before my last play session) because I didn't realize that it hadn't downloaded automatically like new purchases usually do. I know that the kits weren't causing the issue because the kits were active during my test when I was able to load into CAS. I haven't tried only disabling Royalty and Legacy, but if I can, I'm going to try that next before deleting and re-downloading everything entirely. I'd rather not have to, but who knows when this might get addressed and I'd rather try to be proactive before I give up.
