Game Crashes, cannot leave manage worlds

When in manage worlds / new game and clicking on a lot to enter that household, the game begins to load it and then it crashes and takes me straight back to manage worlds. It also deletes all households as if there are no sims in your entire game. This is happening in all of my saves. Even when trying to continue playing a household from the main menu, it will not load into their home, the game takes me to manage worlds and removes all sims again.
