By the way, as *amjoie* noted： if you evict these families from their residences first and then delete them, the bug doesn't trigger. But if you delete them directly from the Manage Households screen, or select the household on the map and hit delete, the bug appears in both old and new saves.
That said, even with the "safe deletion" method, I'm a bit worried that continuing to play might cause trouble down the line. This bug seems to happen because when key characters go missing, a whole chain of relationships breaks, messing up the game's logic. And I've heard this family might include more members than just the ones I deleted — there could be other related characters hidden in the background... feels like trouble might pop up anytime
