Game freezes/crash when building/deleting wall

There's a known issue where changing build mode generally leads to issues: Can't make changes to build | EA Forums - 4976886 but leaving this separate as it sounds it's specifically walls.

Game is currently still having that problem, deleting or modifying a specific wall isn’t allowing me to save the game or upload any other house from my library. I get suck on an endless load screen. 12/04/24

After downloading the new expansion going into build mode and building walls causes the game to freeze. I can't build more walls and when I go into Live mode it is frozen. I have no mods installed.

I started having a similar issue intermittently after the 25th birthday update, and now it is constantly happening with the new patch update after Businesses and Hobbies came out. If I delete a wall segment in build mode, I cannot "undo" or build or move anything. And saving or changing lots after this happens just results in the game being stuck loading. I have had to force close every time. 

this update today, made the game unplayable for me  like the game wont let me make rooms because it just deletes the walls and i cant place them after creating a room, and then wont let me save and exit essentially deleting all progress i made on my house. because the only way to get it off the loading screen is restarting the pc. repairing the files doesnt work either. 

I am also having issues building walls and just general placing items, this started happening yesterday. When I build walls, the cost isn't subtracted from the household funds, I can't delete anything, the "undo" button in build/buy doesn't work along with ctrl+z and when I move items placed before yesterday they disappear and I cant undo that actions either. The items disappear after the walls have been placed, if I move them before the walls are placed, they are still there. If I buy a new item, it will be placed, but if I click it, it will disappear - the cost is also not subtracted. When I leave to either main menu or desktop the game freezes - I haven't tested if the game also freezes if I play and doesn't enter build/buy.   

I am playing on a lot where there is a small business and home lot. I have tried: repairing the game, changing the lot to all public rooms, changing the lot to all residential rooms, removed the 2 mods I play with and redone the before mentioned steps

I was about to finish a house i was building. then i changed my mind and wanted to turn a room into a veranda. after deleting the walls and windows, i can't put anymore walls or windows or anything. i press f1, the game cannot be 'unpaused'. i thought at first its a problematic mod--it not. i tried removing the mod and opening the game--result is still the same. the game sort of freezes. i was building on heavy mods/cc lol

to solve it, what i did was i saved the unfinished house into my library.

i then deleted the house while on build mode (without changing the terrain, just the house.) then i bought the same house i saved in the library. and it worked. i was able to delete the windows and remove the walls and continue building. 

(but i still dont know why it was freezing in the first place lol ). 

EA_CadeHave you guys looked at the files I sent? I sent the files almost a week ago and I haven't heard anything. This is a GAME BREAKING BUG, would be nice to know that EA takes game breaking bugs seriously.
