I am having a very similar issue. I have tried multiple different things to eliminate other possibilities but every time I try to delete a wall in build mode the game freezes and I can't do anything ...
Ideas
In a current save, I tried to add a new room. It only allowed me to build one room in one click or one wall. Then it wasn't allowing me to add anymore walls, rooms or any furniture. When then trying to close to game, it was just constantly on a loading screen. I've been playing the Sims 4 for 6 years and never had this issue. I only had UI Extension mod, so I deleted it and try without mods but made no difference. Tried repairing the game on two separate occasions, but with no luck. I've only got the one main save, so its only happened in this save with this specific household, but I haven't fully checked other households. It won't let me leave the lot to go into manage worlds. Checked the saves file on desktop, but no corrupt files? Unsure what's going on.
