Game freezes/crash when building/deleting wall

I am having a very similar issue. I have tried multiple different things to eliminate other possibilities but every time I try to delete a wall in build mode the game freezes and I can't do anything ...

did you get any errors or LastException files (can be found in documents > electronic Arts > The Sims 4)

  After going through the thread, I believe it might be the same issue. It's the first time I've posted on EA Forums. Where should I go from here? I couldn't find a solution in the thread.
