Game freezes/crash when building/deleting wall

My game started doing this 4 days ago. I assume a fix will come as part of the Quality of Life roadmap? I was going to buy a load of DLC to go with the new EP for my birthday in a couple of weeks but there's no point if my game is unplayable.

Edited to add: I'm playing on PC, only have EA DLC. The only thing I can think that changed was that I installed the free holiday decor items from the EA app the day that the problem started. 

So I am on PC, no mods installed, never had them. I tired building a house, the roof wasn't working so I bulldozed the house to start again. Couldn't build walls, it would make the sound of the wall placing, but no wall. Tired going to managed worlds, wouldn't load, tired closing it. Wouldn't close (had to use task manager to close the game). The game wasn't frozen, because I could still click on things, just not place them. If anyone had same or similer problem, please help, I tried to report it through EA app, but it just came up with error and to try again later. 

So I’m having an issue after the newest patch. My walls won’t delete like at all. And it’s hard to change the wall height because I’ll click medium wall height and my game will lag, then freeze, and SOMETIMES actually change it. I can’t build because of this and I worked REALLY hard on this build. What do I do? I do have mods and CC but I’ve removed all broken mods and updated all the ones that needed updated and Better Exceptions isn’t pointing out an issue mod. Idk what to do?

So I downloaded this building off of the gallery, and I've been spending the last few hours trying to make it into something fitting the magnolia promenade area and I added this room to the back but whenever I try to do anything with the room, moving the room, raising platform to match the parallel room, or any attempt at removing the room or removing any walls with the room, my game then goes into a frozen state where I can't place items or interact with anything in build mode, attempting to save makes the game infinitely load and attempting to exit the game or save quit is met with the same issue, only task manager ending Sims 4 closes the game. I saw a few posts regarding a similar issue from years ago and recently, I do use mods but on this specific play through I wasn't using any, I've tried clearing cache and fixing integrity of game files as recommended but nothing yet, I was using the bb.moveobjects but having it enabled and disabled doesn't seem to change anything and the game still freezes,

For whatever reason the game wouldn't let me edit it on the magnolia promenade without bugging out but saving it to the gallery and placing it on Hallow Slough seemed to fix the issue despite the build being the same with no changes
