I haven't updated my game yet for the 7/1 and subsequent 7/16 patch. I've been playing offline and waiting for things to be fixed - like mods, the issues with pregnancy, and the reports of severe game lag. Today I just went to try and go in and play offline, and now I'm suddenly getting the message above and it won't let me launch the game until I "launch the game online to renew the license".
This has happened to me once before and it is BEYOND frustrating. Why is this even a thing??? I own the game and it's loaded locally on my PC. Why can I suddenly NOT access it offline? I don't want to update yet but now due to this error on EA's end, I have to choose between updating the game and being subjected to the many ongoing issues, or just not play the game WHICH I OWN.
I am so tired of all of this.
