Game not functioning since new update

I usually play with families so I deal with teens, kids, toddlers and infants often. I tried to open simology for a teen and it just shows the character values at the top and theres no scroll to move or anything, then I close it and I can't open any panel. Nothing will open, not their job, inventory, relationships, skills, etc. I try to exit but the menu doesn't even pop up.

I decided to go and start new save without teens, kids, etc. but now, everyone is being mean. I can't have my sim build relationships because they start being mean, she starts being mean, and the npcs are mean to each other too. Any progress I try to make is just undone because they constantly perform mean interactions.

Mine is doing the same inventory would not pop up not even when opening the fridge to see what’s in it not even the save option comes on this update has broken mine and my daughters sims since the update😡😡

I just installed LoveStruck on Thursday, and updated my game on Xbox. I started a new save. I have every add-on for Xbox and never had any major issues. Until this update/expansion. I started a new save file, and noticed my issues started once my Sim hit 1 to 2 week in game time.  When I went to click the simology panel. It would not show-up. My cursor immediately disappears. I cannot travel once this starts, nor can I open build/buy or save. I try restarting, and once I open the file. The issues start almost immediately. I tried running the game without pressing anything. Until my sim was forced to travel. The screen goes black, but with my sim still functioning.

I even started a new save, and again. On the dot between 1, to two in game sim weeks. The issues started instantly.  

I tried uninstalling, and reinstalling. I tried everything under the sun. Still has the issues. I bet I’m not the only one since it only started since the update, and new game release…

Is anyone having similar issues?? I play often, and was playing all week up till the new release with no issues. This truly is the worst it has ever been, and basically makes it unplayable! 

Macy, I was about to delete ALL my files, thank goodness i came across your post. Iv gained a little relief knowing I'm not alone! I'm having the exact same issues, plus some wonky buttons. Just as you, i "took out all mods, repaired the game after the update, cleared localthumbcache, etc." and still broken.

This is beyond frustrating at this point. the game is completely unplayable, cant open inventory, skills etc panels, cant pull down the 3 dots to save. constant crashing. Considering how much everyone has spent on the game over the years you would think EA would spend some money to play test before releasing this mess. nearly a week now and still unable to play the game at all. 

Just EA being EA. All of these people have the same game-breaking issues because EA decided to add a bunch of random unnecessary patches, and they probably don't even care. It probably won't get fixed for AT LEAST a month. I'd love it if they would prove me wrong, but knowing EA, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Today is my birthday and I was going to ask someone to buy me a new expansion pack as a gift, but now I don't even want to bother since I know the game is broken and probably won't work correctly anyway. So sad that this is even something we have to worry about in the first place, especially with a company this big. It's pathetic. So emotionally exhausting 😮‍💨

Having issues with sims being mean despite installing the 7/26 update. Additionally, after installing the latest bug fixes, I can’t enroll sims into university housing. I can go through most of the steps but it freezes on the last step to transfer the sim to university housing. The exception logs mentions something about not being able to determine relationship. I made sure I turned off all mods, cleared cache and restarted the game. Same thing occurred.  It also happened after moving 5 out of the 8 sims in my household. EA can you do something about this please? It’s making me very frustrated and not at all enthusiastic about buying the new expansion pack. 

(i'm french) Hi everyone, since the update I have bugs, like many people I think. The latest one that persists is that I can't click on my sim and on a few other sims. Nothing is displayed anymore, no interaction is possible so it is impossible to play either. If anyone knows anything?
