First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

After the 23 of July update my game has had some huge issues! The menu buttuns does'nt work so there is no way to save or do anything. I have no CC or mods, so this is issue is pure EA. Tried to repair the game but, no, it's still a mess.
The same thing is happening to mines it is unplayable I have restarted numerous times
Loading screen is taking much longer than usual. Game freezes or lags. Simology/skill etc Panels not working, also save or build mode panels not working. I have not had any mods in the game since the update. I've reset the game, tried repairing, tried new saved file, checked my own laptop for viruses etc. Problem is not with me. I made a backup save file and are now reinstalling the Sims. Will see if it helps. But installing takes sooo long and really frustrating if you are a working student and don't have much time to play.🥲
My game is just playing by its own rules I SWEAR I’m so close to breaking down! Here is what mine is doing:
- NPCs won’t do ANYTHING when spawning on my night club lot (I had the **bleep** mod, which I have since deleted ALL mods to try and see if it’s an issue)
- Sims being weirdly mean to each other for no reason… even kind sims
- Randomly stopping current actions and glitching to a new position/pose
so I deleted the mods and the caches and them repaired the game via EA and tried on a completely new save with the base game and expansions:
- Playing sim randomly gets embarrassed when the welcome wagon was on and they came onto the lot
- Cancelling commands automatically.. I had to click ‘Eat Fruitcake’ THREE TIMES UNTIL SHE DID IT… then ‘Wash Dishes’, FOUR TIMES UNTIL SHE DID IT… ect ect with everything else
I’m new to mods so I didn’t know I had to delete them before the update or not update… anyone else feeling my pain right now? 😑😑😑😑
used the new exit to cas button feature to amend relationships from the simology panel. enter cas, make the amendments. go back into game, and then the whole simology panel completely glitches, traits have become character values and strobe dancing, blinking like crazy, and no other buttons work, not even save, have to task manager to escape the horror show. this has been happen from the 24th May, its now the 25th May pack release day in the afternoon, ive preordered the newpack. ive been told i cant download till 6pm. and no news on whats happeming or how to fix? although by the volume of people experience the same thing, this is 100% not our fault.
They really messed up. Going deep into the base of a 10-year-old game and making changes is risky for my game. I wonder what could go wrong. ....... The game is a hot mess, even if you can play and save, which I still can.
I can still save and travel in my game but I'm not sure if I should be doing that considering the broken base. My game still runs fine... don't know if that's good or bad.
