First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

Lastly, my sims keep being mean to eachother for no reason, even if i intruct them both to be nice or romantic they just reject it. And the sims were in a relationship pior, now they jus wont stop being mean autonomously
I just updated my game to the new update that came out yesterday (23th of July) and it broke everything. First, everything in the world went black, I can still see the sims panel (but can't click on it), household, funds etc but everything else is black. Second, after restarting the game, the cheat bar does not pop up, I cannot click on the sims panel (needs, relationships etc) and when I went into build mode everything in build mode is gone and I can't go back to live mode. Saving the game doesn't work and I can't go into CAS or see the world map. It is completely unplayable with the new update for the new expansion pack :(
I am having the same issue also. I couldn't click on anything other than Simology. Couldnt get the menu to show up. I had to force quit the game. I was able to take my cat to the vet and come back to the house but i'm not able to exit and go to another household. I cannot save. I cant even tab out the game. I wont be able to play until this is fixed.
The same has happened to me on PS4. My curser, panels and menus have gone missing so unable to play.
I don't have any mods/cc and my game acts the same..

I tried to restart my PC and repair the game with EA but it didn't work.The interface of the game has changed, I can no longer leave the game even by pressing the ... at the top right of the interface, by pressing the escape key on my keyboard or by pressing alt+f4. I had to restart my PC to quit the game

Looks like I'm not the only one. I've updated and restarted multiple times. The inventory won't open. If I go into build mode, I can't get back to live mode and I've had to force an exit every time because game options won't open. Kinda pointless to play when you can't save.
same here they put a wrong code in again it happens with every expansion we just sit and wait for a bug fix
