First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

Having the same issue. I play with mods, took them all out and same thing. When I put back in my mod folder, Better Exceptions started flagging all my mods, some broken, some that got updated after the July 28 update.
Once loaded into my game in the household if click anything in upper menu.Mange worlds/notification /build / gallery/save game it just does a black screen and can't do anything. Yes I've done the recent update and repaired game ect.
Stopped playing. What else can you do?

Since the new update after a certain romance level I am unable to interact with said sim, it has happened multiple times to different sims. It has also happened to sims that are in the same households as well. I have restarted the game, my computer and nothing has worked.
August 10th and they've still done thing about this. The game keeps crashing, sims toddlers wont sleep so their being taken away. Grim Reaper is taking 3 days to do his job with the animals i cant plead for. Unacceptable
This is becoming a joke now I have been trying to play the sims for about 3 weeks ish and the games just broken I have gone through all my mods updated and removed some that are out of date and still the games broken I just have done the update they have put out and this still hasn’t fixed my game I can’t do anything in build mod I don’t have any tools or options to put furniture and things in, have the ea team even said there going to try and fix it or are we just going to left game less because we don’t have the new pack they have bought out
Same here + the symbols are wrong and sometimes not selectable
Has this been fixed for anyone? I’ve been gone all summer and was so excited to play my game when I got back and I updated the game and am having all the same exact issues as everyone else. Wondering if anyone figured out how to fix it since it seems like everyone was dealing with this about a month ago?
