First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

Mine only loads up to the main menu, if I try to start a save it just freezes in the loading screen. Totally cannot be played. 😃
Hi there! I was going through the same issue. I could load into a game but I couldn't open CAS - it would freeze. I found another thread that said it was the more columns mod. If you have that, try removing it and reopening your game. Once I removed it, everything worked perfectly! Someone else also said the UI extensions mod/script was also messing up CAS so try taking that one off too if you have it.
This is so aggravating. I will play for 5-10 minutes and then my buttons won’t work. For example, I go to save and when I press the three buttons, it just doesn’t pull up the options. When I switch to the inventory for my sim, it just doesn’t pull it up, etc. It’s honestly like Groundhog Day .. I keep playing the same days over and over because every time I go to save it won’t work.

Yes! I am having the same issue. I tried to do the repair thing but after playing for like 5-10 minutes my buttons dont work and I cant save. Cant even use the ALT 4 to save.
And i also dont have mods or cc
same as a lot of people, game just stops working, cant open menu or inventory, only needs and asperations. if shift to build mode to try to debug it, I'm stuck in build mode and cant get out. Have to close game using task manager. Do they even test updates anymore? or do they just release updates and cross their fingers. Typical big money EA move. (running zero mods btw)
I have this problem too and it is not the UI extension mod because it does it without it in my folder. After a few minutes of game play I just start losing the icons functionality.
For an emergency save, I found that going to neighbourhood view the game will prompt you to save and that save works. I have to force quit then though as nothing else works.
I took all my mods out, repaired the game, and it won't even load all the way just stays on the loading screen. I really hope they fix this before the weekend, preferably today. lol
The game stops working after I try to open the children's character menu. I can't go into build mode. I can't save. I can't interact with any of the menu buttons. The high school kids no longer show they are enrolled in school under career.
Same issue here, I can't save or travel, and my Sims was at work and at home.....at the same time. I hope they fix this soon, this is my escape from real life 😔😊
Has anyone found any fixes for this issue? has EA said anything, or will we just have to sit back and wait...
