First of all, I apologize that my screenshots are in German, but this is the language version I play.

In the EA app, I deliberately and thoughtfully chose the setting to not receive any advertising notifications in the game:

As soon as I start the game, I'm greeted with a fullscreen banner - offer, 60% discount = definitely advertising - like this one:

During the game, further advertisements will pop up on the shop icon permanently:

That's also nonsense because I already own the advertised products. Which is why I made the aforementioned settings in the app in the first place.

Either there are game settings that override the app settings. If so, please specify which ones, as I haven't found them yet. Otherwise, it's definitely a bug, either in the game or the app.

To my knowledge these settings aren't connected. You can't really turn the ads off.

I'm checking with a CM though, they will make the decision if this is feedback or not.

The constant in-game ads are why I honestly get frustrated when playing Sims 4. I understand ads on the EA app, but we should not ever have them in-game when we play in a save. I do not own all the dlc. The ones I do not own are because I do not want them. Advertising unwanted bloatware isn't going to suddenly make me purchase it.

EA should ensure that these settings actually fulfill their intended purpose.
According to EA's own definition, the purchase is considered complete upon delivery of the download. Therefore, once downloaded, the game is in my possession and ownership. If I buy a house and move in, the seller doesn't come into my living room to put up advertising posters, does he?

crinrict, any update on turning off the aggressive in-game ads? I quit playing due to the pop ups about the marketplace happening every single time I attempted to open a save.
