[GF] No celebrity interactions/fame indicator; paparazzi hounding service-Sims
Playing on console (mod free guaranteed). A new save, created in last December, has been having issues with celebrities:
- Pre-made celebrities (e.g., Judith Ward) have the celebrity shine and walk style, but when I click on them, there’s no celebrity level accompanying their name and there’s no celebrity-specific social interactions (e.g., ask for autograph, attempt introduction).
- Any of my anonymous Sims can introduce themselves normally to any celebrity, gaining friendship normally.
- Paparazzi spawn on community lots (e.g., gyms, bars, lounges) and hound service-Sims (e.g, bartenders, masseurs) as if they were celebrities.
I remember a while back when the game was not spawning service-Sims if you had configured fame as opt-in. Since that bug was fixed, I’ve been using that configuration, but I reckon it might be bugged again, but this time in reverse? Seems like having fame as opt-in this time prevents pre-made celebrities from having fame and breaks paparazzi to treat all service-Sims as celebrities.
