Goofballs obsessed with mischief and etc...

So I get a goofball would like to be goofy and be mischievous but they doing more harm than good. It's damaging the relationship with loved ones by being mischievous I rather be funny then just pulling pranks and lying all the time then my Sims are being mean again to each other and that's giving unwanted gameplay in the game it's unnecessary drama again in the game.

Hmm, I think my bug issue might differ from yours, but I’ve read the note below your report, and it makes sense. Perhaps my Sim was a disruptive customer at another small business when I wasn’t playing her household. Cuz if it were due to the Goofball trait, why does she still do it after I changed it? I’ve upvoted your report, thanks for sharing!

  • I was happy that the teen crush of my Goofball Sim aged up as a Goofball too, but now I constantly have to babysit them both so they don't annoy each other with constant mischief... 😕

Have you did what crinrint ask? Invited the bugged Sim to small business with another household in your control? I've done that, the result is there was another disruptive Sim (random generated Sim), but what interesting is, when that disruptive Sim leave the small business, this bugged Sim leave too. Afaik it never happened when you go to small business with someone and they just left leaving you (because it's marked as group).

But I haven't check that bugged Sim after test that, cuz now I ecountered another bug that makes me focus to another household not her household. Let me know if you done that and what's the result.

Sorry for my broken English, I hope you understand what I mean.

I see. So the business disruption flag is involved after all. Thank you for trying various things.
I also tried an experiment to see what would happen if a Sim affected by the bug came to a small business a customer. Despite not being a business disruption customer, they kept causing trouble in the bathroom. Also, in my experiments they never appeared as a business disruption customer.

I'm Japanese, so I apologize if my writing is difficult to understand.

Me too! I tried what you did, taking this bugged Sim to a small business, and yeah, she just keeps pranking the toilet instead of doing the actual business activities. It’s super annoying, and I’m not sure why she’s acting like this.

As far as I can remember, I never saw her flagged as a disruptive customer when I was playing with another household. But after the experiment I did yesterday, I’m starting to think this Sim might’ve been flagged as a disruptive customer before and I just didn’t notice.

I’m gonna test it again when I see one of my played Sims get flagged as a disruptive customer. Then I’ll switch to that Sim to see if it proves the hypothesis.

  • In the Akiyama Household [SE], the daughter is a Child-Goofball-Sim who will not stop doing Mischief interactions every time she talks to her brother and parents. Even while enjoying meals together... except, "Ask about Day" Hot Pot interaction [SE], that's one of the few times she stops being mischievous. Other than that, her mischievous interactions with her family constantly tank their relationships into the negative.

With autonomy off, the Child-Goofball-Sim has never pranked the toilet... but I'm nervous about turning autonomy back on since Sims act all catty-whompus when left to their own devices.

I would use the autonomy feature more if Sims functioned as intended (ie Goofballs stopped pranking toilets constantly).
