[GRO] Infant can't tell Nanny to Tummy Time

My sim gave birth to triplets .. when she already had a toddler and an infant. When the triplets aged up to infant, since their mother can only do tummy time with one at a time, I hired a Nanny. But there's no way to tell the Nanny to do tummy time with them - she autonomously did that once with one kid, and then just stood around looking useless.

Infants can't do tummy time without adult help until they've achieved rolling over from their back to their tummy, so those first several tummy time experiences require an adult. This is the only reason I hired the Nanny. My sim was managing looking after everyone, but she can only tummy time one kid at a time and it does take a lot of time. I'm playing on normal life span, so they don't get a lot of spare time to try to collect all their milestones.

I expect the infants to be able to instruct the Nanny to do tummy time, or at least for the Nanny to initiate that repeatedly - but for toddler interactions with a Nanny the toddler initiates all their needs, so it would make more sense if infants could do that too.

  • I unfortunately don't think this is a bug, as I've never seen this be an option, but even if it's deemed "as designed" hopefully the Sims team will change it, because yes, nannies should absolutely be available for ALL infant tasks.

  • Anyway about the time all three triplets were awake and none of them had learned to do tummy time alone yet, and the newly-aged-up schoolkid needed help with her homework, and the older infant had a nappy blowout, I abandoned that save to start fresh.

Nappy blowouts apparently take an hour and a half for a sim to clean up. That's probably because they're marinading the infant in dirty nappy soup the whole time. Irl that wouldn't take more than ten minutes to get clean, but the first thing I'd do differently is not put the plug in the bath while there's actual nappy soil to be washed away.

Never used mods/cc, and I'm on PC. I feel like that information, and which packs I've got in my game, should be data fields in a new bug report - and given my login info here is the same email address as my EA app login, it shouldn't be difficult to give permission to link the two so these data fields fill themselves automatically.

    Hi MamaSimmerPlays

for mod info and platform you should use tags. That's what they are there for.

Packs are just too many now and with the frequency we get new one, someone would just constantly have to update tags. Just add the pack info to your post if you think it's relevant to your bug and make sure you add a pack tag to your title if the bug is directly related to a certain pack.

A complete list of the letter combinations for packs can be found here: General Information About The Bug Reports Forum | EA Forums - 4965007
