This is happening to me right now as well, specifically the Sting of Rejection (from Recalling a Milestone). This save file has only been a few weeks with fresh sims, the only milestones I have for this sim are the woohoo, marriage, engagement, best friends, fell in love, finished a degree, and started a business.
Same here. A fairly new save file. I feel like it started when the Nature's Calling event started.
