[GTW] Detective: Suspect missing after issuing APB

After completing the first trial suspect arrest and getting your own new case. No matter what I do or what clues I have every time I issue an APB the suspect is never there. I have waited around, asked every sim that shows up, gone back to the station and issued a new APB multiple times(currently on 6th issued APB and still no suspect appears).

Nothing works, and this is for EVERY sim I have in the detective career. Often times I have to spend 2 -3 days just issuing APBs until either the suspect shows up or I get so frustrated I have my sim quit the career entirely.

Yes I have mods, no none of the mods would affect this stupid career. I've played without mods and had the same issue and have had this issue since this pack was released.

    do you have just no one that fits all the clues or do you get a wrong suspect if you arrest someone ?

    What platform are you on ? Mac or PC ?

    Both, when it loads in I always arrest the first sim I see that's already there on loading in. Sometimes it works and they get arrested but most times its the wrong suspect.

    Playing on PC.

    Do you have any specific clues that don't match ? Like it's always the clothing ?

    A different sim is loaded on the lot each time, sometimes their clues match but its usually coincidence. I never match on clothing its always wrong anyway since the introduction of hot and cold wear.

    You can ask them to change their clothing so you can see the everyday wear.

    The clothing isnt the issue. I have a mod that I can check their everyday.

    The issue is that the sim doesnt show up at all regardless of the clues I have.

    This already has been an issue in the old forum, I remember as I had copied the link into my notes for that, but now we don't have access to that forum anymore and can't read the hints that were in that thread on how to work around this issue.     Back in a household with a sim in this career again.

    Here are the clues I had in the notebook:

    When I issued the APB here is the only sim that initially loaded on the lot(which in my experience is the sim im looking for):

    Trying to arrest them caused me a ding for false arrest.

    Issuing the APB a second time brought me to this sim:

    When I arrested them it did take me back to the station like they were the one I was looking for but they do not remotely resemble ANYTHING from the note book. Traits dont match, age doesnt match, hair color doesnt match, and clothing only kind of matches because its hot weather wear(their everyday is a one piece).

     

    UPDATE: interrogating the sim I arrested, they did confess and it closed the case. So I guess they were the right sim...
