I am experiencing the same issue that started after the last update. I'm not sure if it would have happened anyway, but like some of the others, it became apparent when I moved from Oasis Springs to StrangerVille. I collected the mail and paid the bills. I didn't get the little chime it plays; however, you have no offline mode, so sometimes the internet lags, and the sound doesn't always sync with the action. I noticed that when my Sim went to work, they still had the bill envelope in their inventory. The game gave me the option to discard it, but I decided to check that I indeed paid them when I got home. I paid them again when they got home, and I realized then that I had a positive bill balance. Every attempt I made to pay the bills failed. As with the others who reported this before me, I also tried all the suggested fixes.
