I keep getting the notification that my horse is getting taken away due to starvation but my horses hunger if excellent and their food is full? its happened twice now cause I exited without saving cause I'm now emotionally attached to this horse.

Is this with or without mods/cc ? What platform are you playing on ?
I have had two horses taken away citing starvation. Their hunger was not low, they had just eaten, and there were three full feeders with prairie grass available. There was no warning, they were just taken away.
