all was working fine till the new event & SDX drop happened now the sims hair growth has stopped working I have repaired the game reset my folder I have no Mods or CC I’m on pc anyone else having this issue

beard and body hair are not growing even with the option enabled for hair and beard growth in CAS
I have the same issue. I do play with mods, but hair growth used to work before. In my current save file I only saw it once that my male sims beard grew, as well as my female sims leg hair. After they shaved once nothing ever grew again, even though it's activated in CAS.
Please follow these steps to test your game on vanilla game with no mods/cc
- Create a backup of your save game
- Move your mods folder to the desktop
- Delete the following files from your user folder.
- localthumbcache
- Any lastException Files
- Any LastCrash files.
- Test your save (you will loose all cc on the save but since you created a backup you can go back to that afterwards) and see if the same error occurs, then report back.
Did as you described, nothing changed. I played for a sim week but I still don't see any hair growth.
When I played with another family in the same save file (with mods) I noticed hair growing. So it doesn't seem to affect all sims, just a few.
Yes, 100% sure. I even de- and reactivated it.
When I removed all my mods, I chose a different hairstyle for both my sims and wanted to change the hair color, got the pop-up that it would set back my current hair growth status and declined. So it was for sure turned on.
It seems that beards only grow if all hair growth checks are marked. For instance, if a Sim has a ✅ for beard growth and ☑️ for back hair growth, the beard won’t grow at all.
It kinda breaks immersion, because not all Sims need hair growth in all parts of their body — IRL, some men have thick beards, but almost no chest hair, or vice-versa.
