Commenting to say I'm having the same issue on PC. For me, this is a newer bug. Rather than the count down and goals like an active career, the school day is showing up like a holiday. I've played the pack enough to know what my Sim should do/to listen for the class bells for transitions, but this is really disappointing. HSY is normally one of my favorite packs. I'll be giving the mod mentioned earlier in the thread a try.
