[HSY] Issues with active highschool UI/ Showing as Holiday UI

High School Event Not Triggering Properly — Homework & Mission UI Issues (Vanilla Game)

I conducted a clean test using a completely vanilla version of the game to identify a persistent issue related to teen Sims attending high school. The following actions were taken:

Test Setup:
1. Removed all Mods/CC from the folder (only remained) ModsResource.cfg
2. Deleted all of the following from the Sims 4 user folder:
localthumbcache.package
All fileslastException
All filesLastCrash
3. Backed up existing save and tested with a clean copy
4. Launched game with no Mods/CC and observed behavior for two different teen Sims

Observed Behavior:
1. First Teen Sim (first-ever school visit):
After choosing to accompany the Sim to high school, the usual school event music did not play
No school mission/goals UI appeared
No homework was generated

2. Second Teen Sim (subsequent visit):
Upon choosing to accompany this Sim to school:
The school event music did play
However, the UI was partially broken:
The usual llama event icon appeared with the title "High School Class Day"
The letter spacing (kerning) in that title was off/irregular
Below the quest name (normally shown above the Sim’s portrait), the two expected action icons (e.g. desk icon, study for exam) were visible but the descriptive mission text was missing

*Additional note: Even when the quest UI looks broken, hovering over the icons still shows tooltips with mission descriptions. This confirms that the quest logic is active despite the visual issues.

3. The brother of a teenager visiting the school for the second time
Even though this was her first visit to school,
The school mission UI was already broken in the same way as her sibling
Music played, llama icon appeared
Text spacing issue persisted
Same icon-only UI with missing quest text

This bug occurs in a fully vanilla environment and impacts both the mission trigger and the homework generation, depending on whether it is the first or second teen attending high school.
Please investigate — this issue significantly affects gameplay for teen Sims using the High School Years pack.

* This issue began occurring after the most recent patch two days ago.

I cant enjoy the new exp because of this, im experiencing the same thing and i cant even see the tasks im supposed to see!

This is so frustrating! Every update seems to make the game more and more broken. I'm having the same problem. The High school tasks have been replaced by the holiday interface and one thing seems to interfere with the other.

Is it primarily only the UI that doesn't work? If this UI change breaks graduation, career day, etc. I won't update my game (and will have to skip the new kits too). This was such a carelessly executed "fix." I'm not sure why it was even included in the laundry list given how much it breaks.

I have also noticed that it doesn't matter whether my Sims completes the secondary task or not, as soon as she attends class, both objectives come up completed. it's been great for getting my Sims' grades up but definitely not functioning as intended 😅

Same here. Reported it on the dutch forum with no reply 5 days ago. 
Was hoping it was fixed by now. Will be spending my free time differently now. 

This is just sloppy overall, the original UI was perfectly fine as is, no need to replace with the holiday one. I would rather they not have made it where multiple Sims can achieve school tasks than this thing. 

Makes me not want to experience my teen Sim's school days, when that should be a fun experience.

Im starting a new legacy challenge as a homeless teen. I just joined her in high school however the event is not shown correctly.

No mods or CC in game. See added picture

Amazing. So instead of fixing the bugs with the HSY UI, they just lazily tried to shoehorn it into the Holidays UI which worked exactly as well as expected. Meanwhile they didn't fix the bugged eyes or the raining indoors bug.
